About Maritsa...

Hi fellow postcrossers!

In this age of emails and social media, it's always nice to get some real mail. And Postcrossing is great way to make that happen...

I guess I should tell something about myself here. So, in my spare time I enjoy reading, watching movies (somewhat strange stuff mostly, like old horror films, silent films and everything made by David Lynch), drawing, painting and photographing, going to museums or galleries, gardening etc.

Unfortunately I can't always do these things because I also have to work 5 days a week. :) I kind of like my job but after all I appreciate my own time more than anything.

I'm also interested in current affairs both global and local, history, environmental protection and almost everything... Well, I must admit there are two things that doesn't interest me so much: mathematics and sports. :)

As for postcards, I'm not too picky. Each and every card will be appreciated. So feel free to send all sort of cards. Handmade ones are most welcome too, as long as some time and effort is used to make the card.

If you have problems to decide what to send, here is my little wishlist to help you. (But I really want to emphasize these are just suggestions,not demands).

- Art cards (It would be nice to see artworks from your country, but others are welcome too)

- I love nature, so typical animals and plants from your corner of the world would be great (also insects and reptiles; I won't be scared) :)

- Something related to the history of your country or city/town.

- Myths, folklore, fairytales.

- Reprints of old ads, postcards, posters, vintage fashion illustrations etc.

- Old horror/thriller movies, silent films.

- Everything Twin Peaks related (I'm a BIG fan)

-Characters from children's books/films: Dr. Snuggles, Mole (Krtek), crocodile Gena & Cheburashka, Sandmännchen etc.

- Especially for British postcrossers: I like following British persons/groups
* Monty Python (they are the nutters of all time and I love it)
* The Beatles; they are great through their whole career but I have special love for the psychedelic, crazy, colourful later years.
* David Bowie
* Kate Bush
So if there exists cards related to those above, I would be more than happy to receive some! (And I know at least The Beatles-cards do exist...)

-Anti-war, human rights, environmental/animal protection.

-Anything totally weird, strange, odd, nutty...Don't hesitate, I have reasonably good sense of humor ;)

Happy postcrossing! Let's keep the postman busy :)
