About Marian...

Hello, nice to meet you here!!
My name is Marian. This year I had my 50th birthday. I'm married for 27 years and we have two daughters, a son and a daughter in law.

My husband and I live in a village in the South of the Netherland with two daughters. Our son and his wife live on a ship and are crossing the rivers in Holland, Belgium and German. That’s what my husband and I did for 25 years. Two hears ago we have moved to a normal house in a normal street in our little village in the south of the Netherlands.

In my daily life I’m busy with babysitting (3 little girls of 5, 4 and 2 years old), homework teacher on a boardingschool. A lot of time I’m spending at home. Cooking, baking, reading books and home making are my favourites. I like fleamarket and vintage finds. My house wouldn’t not a
home without my old books, typewriter, copper kettle and other old stuff. I love flowers, castles, chocolate, little donkeys, vintage cameras, pastel colored tableware and so on and so on…

We are all in love with our dog. His name is Roet. He is 13 years old. "Roet" is the dutch name for something very black. He is an australian Labradoodle.

Since I was a little girl I love writing letters. Therefor I love postcrossing so much. I think the world becomes a better place by just being kind to someone else. So I really love it to send (and receive) cards.

I would prefer it when you send me a postcard without enveloppe! And I will appreciate your handwritten story behind on it. Tell me your story, about your life, your day, your house, your country.... I think your story always is interesting me!!! Or write down your favorite quote. Please don't forget to write the date on it.

But above all: all postcards are welcome. Happy post crossing!!

With love, Marian
