About Mandy...

I am a Canadian, married to a New Zealander, and we have a young son.

I have done a bit of travelling, lived a few years in New Zealand, but currently living in the Fraser Valley, west coast, British Columbia 🇨🇦.

I enjoy reading and drawing, getting out of doors to the mountains and coastline. But also appreciate staying cozy indoors on cold evenings. (I love the idea of the Danish style of living through hygge.)

My favourite foods are pizza and pasta, also my Mennonite heritage food, such as cabbage borscht, rollkuchen, farmer sausage, etc...

I love summer and picnics, love winter time for snow and Christmas, but most beautiful of all are the colors of the trees in autumn!

I grew up on Archie Comics, cartoons on a Saturday morning with cereal, and listening to my parents 8 tracks and vinyl records.

I appreciate any postcards, anything that you like yourself,

( but only if you like and prefer to send something specific, )

I like vintage, things that create a sense of nostalgia, paintings, store fronts, buildings, monuments, Royals, Royal Family, historical/history, trains, planes, jets, helicopters, air force, VW Beetles or buses, fun and whimsical, Anne of Green Gables or other lovely literary characters, Agatha Christie/Hercule Poirot, illustration, animation, comic, travel posters, 1970's, 1940's era/WW2, WW1, veteran, black and white, floral, Statue of Liberty (for my 4 year old son Rex, he is collecting them), castles and such, and any lovely cards about your country of course!!!
(I would love to learn about your country or city, even if you're Canadian.)

(Are there such things as F.R.I.E.N.D.S. postcards? It has been my favourite show for years! I would love one if there are!)

And whatever else you think I would like, most all postcards are lovely and interesting, surprise me! 😊

I love interesting stamps. 😍

I look forward to whatever postcards are sent my way! 👍

Feel free to write something in your native tongue with a translation, about yourself, culture, where you live, lifelong dreams, short term dreams, favourite book and why, favourite place you traveled to and why, where you want to travel and why, favourite thing to do or place to go on your day off, quotes, anything! I love reading the back of the card.

Mail is always a joy to send and receive. ❤
Happy Postcrossing!
