About Maaike...

Hii everyone!

My name is Maaike and I'm from Holland. In my free time I like to play piano, walk the dog or watch series on Netflix. We also have a cat at home, her name is Minoes. My cute little city is called 'Hattem'. It is an old city with a great history.

Ludovico Einaudi is one of my favorite musicians, any other fans of him here? The Police is my favorite band. I like to walk in nature, the forest for example. When I'm older I want to explore more of the worlds nature. The forests of Canada seem nice to me.I also want to see all of Scandinavia. My favorite series are How I Met Your Mother and Modern Family. I also like to write, I mostly write poems about funny stuff that happens to me.

Oh, how could I forget, I loooove travelling. I haven't been in that many countries, yet. For now France is my favorite country. Amsterdam is my favorite city, I go there a few times a year. In summer it is beautiful with the green trees next to the canals and mansions. In winter you have the Amsterdam Light Festival, so there are artefacts of light everywhere. Last year I went to Denmark, I fell in love with that country!

By joining Postcrossing I hope to get to know a few people from around the world. It really doesn't matter what kind of card you send me, I like everything! If you don't have inspiration to write: just tell me something funny, jokes are allowed !

Last but not least: I LOVE CHRISTMAS! All the lights and christmas decorations..! I love them. It is so cosy to have the house full of those lights. So when it is December, please send me christmas cards from your country :)

I'm looking forward to receive your postcards.

Hugs from Holland!
Maaike
