Hi,
I work as a language teacher in Mäntynummi Comprehensive School in Lohja, Finland. I'm interested in foreign languages and cultures. Through postcrossong I'd like my pupils to have contact with people from all over the world, to use their language skills and to get interested in other cultures and countries. I hope they learn to understand and respect differencies and similarities between people and cultures, as foreign gradually becomes familiar. My pupils are aged between 12 and 16 years.
Lohja is located on the lake Lohja 60km from Helsinki, the capital city of Finland. The town is quite small with its 47 000 inhabitants. The nature is very beautiful, clean and - maybe oddly said - quiet.
Finland has two official languages, Finnish and Swedish. All of my pupils learn English and some of them German and Italian.
