My name is Wiebke (actually) -and 'Lrl' (pronounced like 'Laurel') is one of my preferred nicknames (this story is a long one!)

I am a licensed practical nurse being employed at an intensive care nursing service. I recently care for two patients; one being in persistent vegetative state caused by a cerebral bleeding and the other is a thirteen year old boy affected with "Waterhouse-Friderichsen's syndrome" caused by an infancy meningococcal infection, who is developmentally challenged ever since.
Avocational I am studying health economics in order to upgrade my education. Nursing is not a highly regarded job here in Germany and I am fed up with struggling for respect and appreciation I won't gain either way.

I live with my boyfriend, our Great Pyrenees dog called Anakin (http://www.postcrossing.com/postcards/DE-3168316) and two dwarf lop bunnies (Velvet & Cotton) in a quaint village whose county named 'Ammerland' is a little famed for its plants, especially for its Rhododendrons.

My hobbies are writing (indeed! I am having a try at authoring for a few years -but it is just a fad and I did not dare to publish one of my stories), reading, daydreaming, walking with the dog (of course ^^), travelling and certainly some other things which don't come into my mind immediately...
My favorite things are... chocolate, candies and sweets, coffee, naturally my pets and my boyfriend <3, my pink-colored notebook, my car (Audi A3 Sportback S-line)...

Other things I like are aesthetic angels and demons (it is nearly an obsession, I guess... -but not for those 'puttos' ^^), unicorns, winged horses, fairies, dragons, mythical creatures and fairytale characters, butterflies, ladybugs, strawberries, kitsch and glitter... and Christiano Ronaldo. ^^
I once read the manga 'Angel Sanctuary' by Kaori Yuki (may be that is the origin of my little obsession) and I truly treat the books like a real sanctuary... -I affect manga paintings in any case.
Thus I am really crazy for Final Fantasy-stuff, Monster High and Ever After High and I am totally fascinated by pictures of Steam Punk, Cyber Punk and Gothic Fiction.

Birthday cards are quite cherished around July, by the way... ^^ and I obviously adore Xmas-cards exactly like Easter- and Halloween greetings and so on ad nauseam...

The long and the short of it: I will be happy about every postcard you may send to me, even the folded ones and the selfmade ones -as long as they are no filthy selfportraits or something too kinky!

P.S. To make my boyfriend a bit green-eyed I am also easily pleased with 'Star Wars', 'Star Trek' and that 'Marvel'-stuff.
P.P.S. -He is also an ardent admirer of American Muscle Cars and Pick up Trucks, as well as anything which is related to the USA... ^^
