Dear fellow postcrossers,

I like the idea to be joined with many of you through an invisible ribbon of coincidence.

In my free time I run a small garden where I grow perennial plants and flowers from all continents – as far as this is possible in the climate of western Germany – at the same time I take care for a few fruit trees and above all I plant my favourite vegetables during garden season. Consequently I like cooking and I'm mad about the various cooking styles in the world. On my journeys I never miss exploring typical restaurants of the places I am just visiting.

I feel sure that culinary art besides traditional architecture, music, literature, fine arts and craftwork takes an important part in cultural identities.

It would be great to receive postcards from you which shows something typical of your village, city, region or country of origin. This could be food, famous or just interesting architecture, breathtaking landscapes, a piece of art or whatever seems characteristic to you. Recommendations of good restaurants will also be very welcome (-;
