Hi everyone :D

My name is Laura and I am originally from Germany but currently living in Zurich, Switzerland.

I am a researcher at the university and my work is all about understanding stress and resilience to develop better tools to help people stay mentally healthy. I have studied psychology and neuroscience and am very passionate about science!

I love travelling and meeting people from different countries and cultures. I am fluent in German, English, and Portuguese, but I can also read Spanish. In any case, I am always happy to learn a few new words in other languages, so please whatever language you speak, it would be great if you could teach me something. :)

I like to bake, watch films, read books (my favourites include Jane Eyre and Calvin & Hobbes, so my range is quite broad). I also enjoy playing board games and meeting up with friends.

I used to draw a lot when I was a teenager. Sadly, I rarely find the time now to be creative in this way (only when Christmas is coming up and I am motivated to make presents for family and friends).
