Hello - my name is Anke and I just arrived at postcrossing because my mother loves it so much and tempted me to try it.... :-)

Whenever I'm on vacation I love to write postcards to family and friends. Why don't also do it while I'm at home? ;-)
I'm 42 and married, I have one little lovely son (2.5 years old) - and am currently staying at home as mother and house-wife.

My hobbies are cooking, reading, fotography, gardening, traveling and history (especially the medieval times of middle europe). I also love to listen to all kinds of music and make music and sing. Last but not least I do all kinds of handcrafts - embroidery, spinning, naalbinding, felting... I also just discovered crochet and making amigurumis...

I would love to receive postcards that show me places of your country: why should I absolutely come and see your home country, your city?
I'd also like to receive cards with themes of local customs, food and people wearing traditional costumes, castles, old houses, old handcrafts, recipes - anything that's typical for your country.
But I'm looking forward to any other card as well! :-)
