Hello there, dear reader!

My name is Monique and I live in a little city in The Netherlands. I love reading. I like every kind of book as long as it contains characters and a good story, but most of all I like history, SF, fantasy, manga, poetry & children books. My favourite books are Lord of the Rings, Les Miserables, Sherlock Holmes, Alice in Wonderland, Discworld, Harry Potter & A Song of Ice & Fire (The Game of Thrones). I also love the poetry of William Shakespeare, Pablo Neruda & W.H. Auden.

Next to reading I like history (specially China, Scotland & Medieval) drinking tea (with chocolate or cookies), writing poems, collecting old books, watching Doctor Who, gaming, listing to music (The Beatles, Marillion, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, Foo Fighters) and travelling. In sports my favourite teams are Ajax Amsterdam & Manchester United (both soccer) and The Toronto Blue Jays (baseball)
