About Irina...

Hi everyone!

My name's Irina, I'm just a beginner in the world of postcrossing. I was inspired by the book of our Russian postcrosser Mashsa Mokeyeva "Amely's cards". While reading, I remembered the time I had a lot of penpals in my childhood. What a sweet memory! What a great time!)))

Postcrossing for me is a way to communicate with the world, to meet different cultures and people. Once my History tutor told me: "You know, you'll never remember what you've bought but you are gonna always remember people that you've met". That's true. Now I'm 29 and my life itself proves this saying.

I'm an English tutor for 6 years. That's the choice I made after a month in a company where I worked as a Chinese-English translator. Once, after an exhausting day in the office, I took a taxi and heard the song "I choose a joy ride". That was the moment of truth to say "Good-bye!" and become a tutor)))

I have a ginger fat cat,her name's Yozha (that comes from the word "hedgehog" in Russian))) She always plays tricks with everything she sees in the house)))

I tried various hobbies throughout my life: skydiving (free-falling is one love), twerk (helps to keep fit and sexy))), guitar playing, Esperanto and Ukranian (I really need somebody to speak to), glass engraving, singing. Now I'm into Church Slavonic (so melodic!)

I really don't know what cards to start with, so here are some things I like:
- cats
-Englsih quotes and KeepCalms
-skydiving
-old buildigs
-people faces
-your country folklore
-punk/rock bands
-food all over the world (Korean cuisine is just my culinary motherland)
-comics
-stand-up
-Lord of the Rings
-good computer games such as "The Last of Us", "God of War", "Detriot", "Horizon", "The Witcher" etc.
- and how could I forget!? The Wicther is my passion,I guess, forever! First,I read all he books, than my groom played "The WItcher III" for me. Adorable.

I'll be glad to recieve a postcard from you and pay you back!)))
