About Sonja...

Hello!

My name is Sonja. All my working life I worked in adult education, but I'm already retired. It doesn't mean that I forgot my profession – I’m still working on some projects in this field. But anyway, I have some more spare time for my hobbies and other things that make me happy. I like traveling, hiking, growing flowers, and working in my small garden at home.

One of my hobbies is also collecting postcards, mostly postcards from cities from all over the world. I began with this in my twenties – I didn’t buy postcards, but I carefully stored all the received cards. Usually, every postcard is on display on my desk, where I can admire it for a month or so, and then I put it in the appropriate box.

My sister told me about Postcrossing – I am enthusiastic about it!! Our postman also said that he prefers bringing postcards to bills and advertising flyers.

I appreciate every nice postcard that tells me more about you, your city or your country. Maybe in your eyes your surrounding is nothing special, but it is for me. I'd like to know more about different places where Postcrossing members live – that's how I learn about new corners of the Earth.

I especially like postcards of:

 cities or other places, where live the people in your country,
 historical places and buildings in your country (historical towns, castles, important churches or temples, old houses, bridges, walls, and other historical buildings),
 UNESCO Cultural Heritage,
 natural sites in your country (mountains, rivers, lakes, seas, waterfalls, beaches, natural

I prefer single-view cards if possible. Anyway, these are just preferences, I will be glad to receive any card that you find nice.

Beautiful and diverse stamps are always welcome!

No AD or FREE cards, please!

I usually register cards the same day I receive them. Please contact me if I don't register yours for a long time.

I'm looking forward to your cards :) Happy Postcrossing!

Sonja
