About Sonja...

Hello!

My name is Sonja. All my working life I worked in adult education, but I'm already retired. It doesn't mean that I forgot my profession – I’m still working on some projects in this field. But anyway, I have some more spare time for my hobbies and other things that make me happy. I like traveling, hiking, growing flowers, and working in my small garden at home. I also like reading, but I admit: sometimes is enough sitting with friends and talk :)

One of my hobbies is also collecting postcards, mostly postcards from cities from all over the world. I began with this in my twenties – I didn’t buy postcards, but I carefully stored all the received cards in the boxes, thinking that I will arrange them when I'm in the third period of my life. Hm, now I am here, but I still don't have enough time! But don’t worry, every postcard is on display on my desk, where I can admire it for a month or so, then I carefully put it in the box, where it waits on my fourth life period.

My sister told me about Postcrossing – I am enthusiastic about it!! Our postman also said that he prefers bringing postcards to bills and advertising flyers.

I appreciate every nice postcard that tells me more about you, your city or country. Maybe in your eyes your surrounding is nothing special, but it is for me. I'd like to know more about different places where Postcrossing members live – that's how I learn about new corners of the Earth. I am not interested in postcards of places in other countries where you spent your holiday or you traveled to, even though these sites are fascinating. These postcards will be sent to me by members who live there (at least I hope so).

I especially like postcards of:

 cities or other places, where live the people in your country,
historical places and buildings in your country (historical towns, castles,
important churches or temples, old houses, bridges, walls, and other
historical buildings),
 UNESCO cultural heritage,
 natural sites in your country (mountains, rivers, lakes, seas, waterfalls, beaches, natural parks, gorges, deserts etc.).

I prefer single view cards if possible. Anyway, these are just preferences, I will be glad to receive any card that you find nice.

Beautiful and diverse stamps are always welcome!

No AD or FREE cards, please!

I usually register cards the same day I receive them. If I don't register yours for a long time, please contact me.

I'm looking forward to your cards :) Happy Postcrossing!

Sonja
