About JuniaJakob...

Hello everybody!
I'm Barbara from Germany. I live in a mid-sized town close to the Dutch border, together with my husband and two sons as well as our cats Vanilla and Billie! ;-) I enjoy being lazy in my free time. I'm not so much into sports, but I force myself to ride my bike everyday, at least short distance, because everyone does where I live...

I am a preschool teacher and I work with children aged one to six. It’s interesting, funny, and also a little exhausting after all these years. I’m dreaming of changing my career path, but I haven’t quite figured out where I’m going next.
I love meeting friends, going to the movies, watching dark Scandinavian crime series, travelling (though I lack time and money), reading, renovating and redecorating our house (though I lack talent and I am a bit chaotic), singing, dancing, cooking, baking, eating, drinking, laughing, joking, having decent arguments...
All the good and simple things...

A couple of years ago, when the world was in a weird, almost dystopian, out-of-time place and we all had to stay at home to protect ourselves, I found comfort in listening to music and found the most joyful place in the Harry Styles/One Direction fandom. It’s a strange place to be for a woman in her forties, but I love it!

About the postcards: Please write a little more than „Happy Postcrossing!“, if you can! I‘m interested in you, what you like to see, read, do, your hobbies or profession, your home and your favourite places, your political attitude, your favourite dish, fun facts about your life... just anything that's important to you or fits your current mood! Or just tell me all you’ve eaten so far this day. I love hearing about food from different cultures, even if it’s basic!:-)
And I'm glad to see your personality represented in the card (and stamps) you choose for me! But if it‘s your pleasure to find a postcard according to my taste, see my favourites for an idea of what kinds of cards I like best. Seasonal cards are always appreciated! I also like arts, colors, shapes, edgy humor, food and recipes, and many more...
Looking forward to whatever reaches me!
If you like to use envelopes, feel free to do so. In that case I will donate the stamps to Bethel (for info see: briefmarken-bethel.de) to support people with handicaps.
My younger son, who is eleven years old, is a huge fan of planes. If you happen to have got a fitting postcard, you‘d make him very, very happy!

Thank you for reading! Take care and stay well! Barbara
