About Julia...

Hello,
I'm Julia (28).
Currently, I'm living in Halle, a beautiful university city in Eastern Germany, with my husband and two nosy cats.
I study English, because I love the UK and I'm very much into its language(s), culture, history, politics, cities and countrysides, films, literature, music, food and people (forgot anything??).

Originally, I'm from the Baltic Sea - I moved to Halle to study - and I love and miss being at the seaside: the sound of the waves crashing and the seagulls squawking, the salty smell, the often blustery and chilly weather.

I love my studies, and I also like to cook and eat, go for walks, read novels, watch films, travel and learn languages, and send & receive letters and postcards, of course. My absolute favourite time of the year is Christmas and the Advent season.

I'm looking forward to your postcard. In no particular order, I'd be especially pleased about a postcard of:
- your country, city or town or your favourite places
- places you visited
- anything remotely British or connected to the UK :) (e.g. afternoon tea, manors, the royal family, English gardens, Downton Abbey...)
- Star Wars!
- the seaside, beaches, lighthouses, seagulls, shells...
- nature, gardens, forests, flowers, bouquets
- rainy weather (my favourite weather! )
- pictures of the seasons
- in winter: snowy landscapes, Christmas cards (especially with cute robins) or anything Christmassy, really
- in September: birthday cards :D
- teatime (with teapots or tea cups), cakes, sweets
- books, people reading, libraries
- films
- tattoos
- architecture
- food
- street art
- or vintage cards

But really, I'm looking forward to any card you send me if you like it. The above are just ideas.

How about you writing something about yourself or your life?
If you really don't know what to write, just tell me your favourite book or your favourite word in your own native language. That would be interesting!

Thank you for your card – can't wait for it.
Happy Postcrossing!
