Hi there! I'm a university student from the Netherlands. I've studied history and a bit of philosophy, and I'm currently studying computer science.

My main interests are art and design, history, philosophy and literature and cooking. I'm aspiring to be a graphic designer or illustrator (at my website you can find some of my drawings).

I'd love to receive cards with art on them, especially paintings from before the 1960's. My favourite artstyles are by the impressionists (van Gogh, Monet), the pre-raphaelites (Millet, Waterhouse, Leighton), the arts and crafts movement (not paintings, but still...). I also like (children's book) illustrations and cards depicting something from history, from political satire cartoons and propaganda posters to historical illustrations.

I also love pictures from traditional asian culture (anything from tea to geisha's, no-theatre, buddhist temples, monks, shinto temples, etc.)

Last but not least: I love cooking! If you have a favourite recipe you'd like to share, be sure to include it on the postcard! :)

In 2010 I only sent personal cards that I drew specifically for receiving postcrossing member. You can view my wall of sent postcards for some examples. Because of my studies I don't have time at the moment to keep up making personalized postcards for everyone, but maybe I can do something similar to the "Today I saw"-project (http://jillstodayisaw.blogspot.nl/p/today-i-saw.html). It certainly is worth checking out!
