Hi! I am Henriëtte. I live in the north of the Netherlands since 12 years. Actually I was born in this area too, but lived here and there for quite some time.

I have three children, a woman who is 27 now, and two boys, age 16 and 12. And I have a grand daughter of 4. Sometimes it is really challenging to be a single mom. On the other side, it can be so rewarding and fulfilling at times... My two boys attend Waldorf School.

I give treatments reflexology, massage and also very nice workshops called Birth into Being. I learned this method in Vienna and California in 2013. It is a healing method that gives people the change to birth themselves into a new life where they no longer hold back. And other workshops with pregnant women.

Also I am passionate about Human Rights in Birth. I think our (unborn) children and pregnant women should be treated with the greates love, compassion, support and respect possible. They say you can measure the civilisation of a country by the freedom women experience around giving birth. These days their rights are violated many many times.

Besides that I am a devotee of the spiritual teacher Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. He offers the world waves of happiness by teaching them the art of living. All kinds of courses for breathing, meditation, blessings, massage, etc are offered, as well as free education (also free of religion) to the poorest children in small vilages in India. His goal is to create a violence and stress free society. I admire people who give their all for goals like this.

When you send me a postcard I would love to hear what your favorite quotes are, or what your favorite motto's in live are :-) What is your art of living?? And what your challenges in live are... Also interesting would be if you share something with me about how you came into this life and maybe what are the birth rituals in your country.

Every card you think is appropriate I am looking forward too. I also would love to receive cards of strong and beautiful women from all around the world (maybe related to birth, pregnant bellydancers, wise women, shaman women, goddesses, mermaids ...) Male and female nomads. DESERT!! O yes, and WATERFALLS! I LOVE waterfalls. I have visited the little waterfalls of Ein Gedi in Israel 7 times now, but there must be many more to visit!! So yes, those are favourite too!!And I am interested in (cards of) old professions, professions that do not or do hardly exist anymore. Also I would like Hindu cards with expressions of the Hindu God. O, and recipy cards of local dishes!! I am getting enthousiastic overhere ;-)

My best friend is on Postcrossing for quite some time now and she made me very enthousiastic, so yes, now I am giving it a try. Looking forward to write those nice little cards and of course looking forward to receiving them :-).
