About Jesse...

Hello, nice to meet a fellow postcrosser! I am Jesse.

I am a Dutch author, translator, editor and publisher. With my husband and two daughters (aged seven and ten), I’m living in an old farm-turned-house on a dyke of the river Rotte, in Rotterdam.

You will not be surprised to hear that I would love to receive postcards showing reading people or anything else book-related.

Could you tell me what the most beautiful book was, you ever read? That would be great! My personal favourites are Haruki Murakami and Carlos Ruiz Zafón, but I love every book that expands my imagination - from literature to detectives and from picture books to young adult.

By the way... If I'm writing or working and in need of inspiration, I look out of my window. Outside, where I've put down seeds and fatty balls, I see 'my' birds. I absolutely love birds! Frequent visitors are tits, robins and wrens. They are so used to me, that they even come to eat when I'm sitting outside, working on my laptop. The spotted woodpecker, the magpies and the fat pigeon are less courageous...
So postcards of birds will make me very happy as well!

I look forward to receiving your postcard!
