About Ionela...

My name is Ionela and I study conference interpreting in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. My working languages are French and English, and I also take some optional Portuguese classes. Two years ago I studied abroad, in Dijon, France, and that's how I fell in love with this lovely country.

I'm interested in everything regarding the culture, history and civilization of all the countries. I find great delight in discovering more about the history of Northern and Eastern European countries.

You can send me any postcard you wish, anything you consider to be interesting to discover. However, I would like to receive meaningful postcards, something with a strong/interesting message:
* something related to your culture and civilization
* old advertisements
* old buildings
* traditions, customs, old costumes
* black and white cards
* cards depicting scenes from the past, especially those dating back to the beginning of the 20th century or to the WWI or WWII
* Afro-American history in the U.S.A.
* natural landscapes
* funny messages
* cartoons and comics
* books
* tea
* cafés
* parks and forests
* mountains
* romantic sceneries

However, you can send me whatever you like and I'd be delighted if you wrote me your favourite quote. And it would be even better if you wrote it in your native language (with English/French translation). Anything you send me will be highly appreciated.

I would rather if you didn't send the card in an envelope. I simply love hand-written cards with postmarks and original stamps.

*** Even if I do not speak Italian, Spanish or Portuguese, I can understand the global message, so if you speak one of these languages, please feel free to choose them! Postcrossing is not so interesting when everyone writes just in English.

*** Si tu es Français ou tu parles français, j'ai hâte de recevoir ta carte postale. La France me manque beaucoup et cela serait fantastique de trouver une carte écrite dans cette belle langue parmi les douzaines de cartes en anglais.

I'm looking forward to receiving you postcard!
