Hello!

My name is Mikhail, I am from Izhevsk, a large city in a European part of Russia, near a great river Kama and at the foothills of Ural Mountains. The city itself is just an industrial hub with several large (but now barely alive) Soviet factories, and a large pond, but people know it as a place where famous AK-47, assault rifle, is made and where its inventor, Mikhail Kalashnikov lives.

I am a computer science student at the local university, which is named after Kalashnikov. Aside from everything computer related I like history, geography, and astronomy.

As for my postcard preferences, I will enjoy everything you send to me, but I will be thrilled if you send me a postcard with something which you associate with the area where you live, be it a tourist attraction, or a nice landscape, or something related to culture. When I receive such postcards, I like to read about what it pictures, and generally get to know the place where the sender lives.
