About Ida...

I am a 20-year-old university student from Finland. I love to read books and to make extempore visits to the cinema - to watch a movie as well as to enjoy the atmosphere and the smell of popcorn at the theatre. I also like to swim and write my own short stories. In the future my dream is to travel and see a bit more of the world.

As for the post cards, I’m merely looking for something to cheer up my day as it arrives with the mail. You may just choose something that you think is somehow funny, beautiful or just otherwise nice, and I’ll be happy to receive it! ^^

But if you wish for something that you can use to possibly hint you the direction, I did make a list of some of the things that I like:

* In general: cards with beautiful colours and scenery
* Post cards that somehow relate to the town or the country from where it is sent
* Traditional celebrations/customs/clothing
* Landscape pictures, city views
* Humorous / funny cards
* Pictures of famous artworks such as paintings
* Foreign languages
* Historical buildings and places, such as old castles, manors and churches
* Vintage cards, e.g. with old black-and-white photography
* Mythology and legends, e.g. mythological creatures such as dragons, elves, gnomes, fairies, vampires, werewolves, ghosts and so forth
* Harry Potter
* Star Wars
* The Hunger Games
* Phantom of the Opera
* Classic love stories; Jane Austen’s production, Anna Karenina, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre
* Children’s book illustrations (I love the Moomins!)
* Beautiful flowers
* Other nature pictures (preferably such that are along with the current season in your country ^^)
* Everything that you’ve drawn/painted/made yourself will naturally be most highly appreciated!
* I am studying to become a librarian one day - a post card that is somehow related to libraries? If you happen to come across one, awesome! :D

I'd wish for you to write something for me besides just greetings. Anything, a piece of your world; what you did today, what you wish for in the future, what is the last thing that made you smile? Or what is the next holiday or celebration that is special in your country, what kind of traditions are related to it? I find old cultural traditions extremely interesting, and I always love to learn new little things about different countries. :)

Thank you for taking the time to read my way too long profile! :D

Wishing you all the best,
Ida
