Hello postcrossers!

My name is Hiskia and I'm studying to become an optician. All about the eyes and glasses =)
I live in The Netherlands, a small country in western Europe. My home is Wolvega, a village in the province Friesland. Here we speak two languages; Dutch and Frisian. And so do I. I speak, read and write both languages easily.
My hobby is drawing comics and cartoons. I've invented my own comic-character named Mafkees [means weirdo]. I've also made a comicbook, but I haven't published it yet. Perhaps one day I will =)
Next to drawing is playing cards [for example Magic The Gathering], calligraphy, shopping, hanging out with my friends and watching movies in the cinema a favourite thing to do.
Animals are cool as well. Cats are awesome creatures, crazy, stubborn, cuddly and sweet. Rabbits have always been favourites, but elephants too. Oh well, every animal has it's charm [even snakes, but I don't feel the need to be anywhere near to them, though, haha].

Cards you can make me happy with:
Anything which represents your country or something specific from your country. Using your own creativity is also very welcome [home made cards, for example].
And I prefer handwritten cards, with a few words in your native language [perhaps with translation included, haha].
