I'm a young woman on my early twenties, married and just had a baby boy on october 2014. Now my time is filled with baby related stuff, but my other interests are reading, movies, animals (we have a dog that has been rescued from the streets of Spain) and nature.

We live in quite a small city in central Finland, that is known for being surrounded by many lakes and also as a popular place to live for students. We have cold and quite long winters. That's when people like to go downhill skiing, iceskating and do other outdoor hobbies. But it's the summertime that the city comes alive. The nature is gorgeous, the lakes are pure and welcoming you for a swim. That's the time of the year I like the most.

Because I'm still new at postcrossing, I haven't yet formed a particular taste in cards - I'm always open for surprises! I would be pleased, if you don't send a card with a picture of the town you live in. They all tend to have tourist attractions in them, and you have to agree, that almost all political buildings and churches look kind of alike :) So there would be no surprises there...

But if you would like to write about your hometown, that would be nice! Some little nicknack's about the habits or traditions that your countries people have would be more than interesting. Maybe even some nicknacks about you - what do you study, what's your favorite food, do you have any pets etc.

But as I said, surprises are the best and what makes this fun! So no stress. I'm looking forward to hear from you all - receiving a card from a different country just makes you feel not alone in this world :)

IF YOU WRITE FROM CHINA: Please write a few words in Chinese letters and translated to pinyin - makes me feel nice, because my baby boy is half Chinese and I'm so keen on learning the language, my husband is a lazy teacher ;)
