About Me--
I live in Taipei and work as an English teacher in this city. I have a son and a daughter, who are 9 and 7 years old. On weekends, my husband and I often bring our children back to our hometown Changhua, a rural county in central Taiwan. We enjoy mountain climbing and the country life on weekends.

I love Taiwan because of its democracy and its openheartedness toward the vast diversity of ideas, languages, ethnic groups, natural landscapes, and foods.

About My Interests: Tea, Environments, Languages, Brains--

I love tea. Taiwan is world-famous for its oolong tea, black tea, and green tea. Taiwanese tea shops that offer a great variety of tea products can be found everywhere. My favorite is the traditionally-made tea.

I urge myself to be environmentally-friendly. I bring my own reusable tableware when eating out and use my own container for taking-out food. I buy coffee and tea with my own cup. I have been doing so for 16 years. Recently I also bring a titanium straw with me.

Around 5 years ago, I started to refuse shark fin soup. I also try to let more people know the devastating results of the loss of the sharks, which have been the apex predators for more than 420 million years on the earth and have been maintaining the balance of the ecology and climate on the earth.

Besides, I study psycholinguistics (psychological linguistics) and I am curious about different languages and cultures in the world. My mother tongues are Chinese and Taiwanese. I majored in English and have learned a little French and Spanish. I am learning Japanese and German.

1) Special Postcards
I will be extremely excited to receive postcards about my interests. If you are not sure what to send, pick one landscape postcard from your country and describe your life in the country, that will definitely charm me! :)

2) Tea Bags
I would enjoy learning about the tea culture in your country. If you are willing to send a bag of tea along with the postcard in an envelope, I will definitely be flattered!

3) Environment Policies
I would like to learn from around the world about environment protection. Please share what you, your nation, your company, or your community do to protect the environment.

4) Endangered Animals
You may introduce one endangered animal in your nation or continent. It will be perfect if you can find a postcard with its picture.

5) Languages (+ Culture) (+ the Brain)
No matter what language you use, I would definitely enjoy learning a sentence from your native language and the culture behind the sentence! Teach me a slang or an idiom. It is also nice if you can introduce a special kind of food, taboo, ceremony, costume, vehicle, entertainment, etc. in your culture
