Hello!

I am Veranika, walker and cinephile, intellectual property lawyer, flamenco dancer, dabbler in cooking, and beginner at Postcrossing.

Cinema is a great passion of mine. I even have a semi-serious motto: "Cinema is more important than life", as one of the Francois Truffaut's characters said. Some of my favourite directors are Federico Fellini, Woody Allen, David Lynch, Andrey Tarkovsky, Wim Wenders, Alex van Varnerdam, Gus van Sant, Derek Jarman. I like Scandinavian and French cinematography and, in general, quiet movies where people cook, eat and speak a lot. And also road movies. So, cinema theme is always welcomed.)

My other favourite themes are sea, seaports, ships, lighthouses, Mumintrolls, deers, Harry Pottter, tiles and ceramics, kitchen utensils, cooking, cafes, fashion, Beatles, art (especially Pre-Raphaelites, Art Nouveau, impressionists and post-impressionists), musicians, actors and directors, retro.

But I would be happy to receive just any postcard from any corner of the world, and hope that my ones will make Belarus closer to these corners.)
