My name is Maria. I'm from Tula - motherland of famous russian writer Leo Tolstoy, motherland of gingerbread, samovars and.. guns. Despite of the military purpose of my native town, I am in favor of closer ties with people all over the world. Therefore, I will be happy to receive any colored rectangle of paper with a postage stamp with your words about yourself to feel the connection between people across oceans, seas and continents!
Most of all I like travelling. Before the pandemic, I managed to visit Scandinavia, Germany, the Baltic States, Greece and Turkey. But due to the changing political conditions, I began to discover my country. I fell in love with Caucasus, Siberia, Sakhalin, Magadan, Karelia,
Kola peninsula (the Arctic) and I will fall in love with many more places!
In the summer of 2022, I traveled across Russia from Moscow to Vladivostok by train on the Trans-Siberian railway. The length of the route was 9300 km

P.S So I'm fond of Railways and unique railway stations :) I prefer the "Lord of the Rings" to "Harry Potter", dogs to cats, pears to apples)))
