About Eva...
Hi! I love to get postcards (and letters) in my mailbox - it makes my day. Other things I like are letter writing, knitting, reading, travelling, gym classes, hiking, watercolour painting, design, photography, languages, chocolate, the sea.
I live in Uppsala, Sweden´s 4th biggest city. Here we have Sweden´s oldest university, founded in 1477. 43 years ago I moved to Uppsala to study at the university: Scandinavian languages and Ethnology. I remained at the University, working as a graduation officer for many years until I recently retired.
The idea of Postcrossing is brilliant: we become parts of eachother´s lifes, for a short moment, by sending and getting a postcard. It´s always interesting to see where a postcard comes from and exciting to get the address to someone somewhere in the world to send a card to.
The postcard you choose to send to me will be part of my "kitchen gallery". I put (many of) the postcards I get around my kitchen door, which makes the entrance to the kitchen colourful and interesting.
I´m interested in direct swaps mainly of handmade cards: painted or collages.
Every postcard I receive makes me happy and I´m extra happy when I get a postcard showing
- modern art
- knitting and yarn
- embroideries
- baking
- umbrellas
- tulips
- fine art nude
- black and white
- watercolour painting
and hand made cards.
