Hi,

My name is Melissa. I am 33 years old, married for 13 years to Lucien and we have a 10 years old son named Milan. We also have a dog (Old German shepherd dog named Arya) and cat (Maine Coon named Sansa) whom complete our family.

I live in the most southern part of the Netherlands, in a region that’s called ‘Zuid-Limburg’, right alongside the German and Belgium border, in the city of Heerlen . I grew up in a small village (Wijnandsrade) and my mother's side of the family has German roots, whereas my father's family is from Rotterdam.

I love city tripping, hiking/nature and photography, so I'm often found discovering new routes to hike, which I mostly always do with my dog Arya by my side.

I am a bookworm and I have a book collection of around 1000 books at home. I mostly love reading fantasy (faves are among others: Harry Potter, throne of glass, lord of the rings), romance, memoires/biographies and informative books (about killerwhales & dogs - training books, nutrition books)

Love Movies & TV > Disney, Marvel, DC, Johnny Depp, Armageddon, Titanic, Grease, Game of Thrones, Outlander, Downton Abbey, Gilmore Girls

My favorite cities are London and Paris but there's lots of cities I want to explore in Europe: Prague, Rome, Verona, and many more. Lots of countries I'd love to visit someday as well: Scotland, the English country side, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary and Norway or Sweden being on top of that list.

A trip to Canada, Vancouver Islands, is probably my #1 bucket list, because I've been obsessed with killer whales ever since I was a young girl and my dream is to see them in the wild. I collect all kinds of orca stuff and always love reading about orca's, as well as getting information elsewhere.

I've a passion when it comes to animals (worked at an animal rescue and I always pursued following courses and studies having to do with animals) but in particular dogs, dog training/behaviour and nutrition and hope to one day become a professional nutritionist advisor for dog and cat owners. I constantly read up on everything regarding these subjects whilst I enjoy being active with my own dog.

Also had my own horse in the past. Been a horse girl for as long as I can remember, and I made some great memories with my friesian gelding named Helmer.
