Hello!
My name is Daria, I've been living in St.Petersburg since my birth and I love this city!
I keen on travelling and "looking into" new cultures: I used to have the list of visited countries here, but then deleted it...too long!)) over 30... among most exciting recent places - last winter I was in Iceland!
When traveling I like watching how locals live, perceive things, I like tasting local food and spending time just like locals - this is why I also use "couchsurfing". Another most important thing in travelings - architecture! I am not an art expert at all, but buildings and bridges, how they were built and decorated - this is extremely interesting!
And thirdly but probably the first - I like photography. This is why I do my blog- it is almost only "visual", little texts adn lots of photos:))

I graduated in social psychology. and then linguistics. I quitted the office life style a couple years ago and now travel much more, though I have to work much-much more at the same time....
I do translations. I speak Russian, English and Italian.

PPS: As a sender I know how helpful is the list of "tips and preferences", so here are mine:
- movies related cards
- architectural details (especially Art Nouveau if it is in your city)
- subway maps (of your city or of the capital)
- famous masterpieces located in your city's museums (paintings mostly)
- just streets view of your place... :))))
- and particular postcards painters - Anton Pieck, Inge Löök etc....I do not know all of them, these I got to know from other postcrossers!

AND I like interesting stamps!
