It's so exiting to be here)

My name is Darya. I live in north town Surgut, in West Siberia. It's cold and snowy region of Russia. I working in University and realm of my professional interest are ecology, biodiversity conservation and plant introdaction.

I adore books: smell of foliants (new books smells tipografic paints, old books smells vintage and archives and, obviously, antiquity), sound of books (rustling of pages, spine crackling of a new book). I like to walk in bookshops and touching spine of books - it calm me. Sometimes I enjoying book cover (some coverbook so beautiful and mirror idea of storyline, some - look so cool but it's look like people who had making book cover and storyline done this without connection each other). I like to discover new books I didn't know about the before, and I'd like to know about these books from you. I like read books and like to find something associated with books: reading people, film adaptations, illustrations for story, images of the main characters, associations with the main characters, the quote of the book (and you can write the name of the book on the reverse side).

I marvel people who know different languages, And especially who learning more and more languages, polyglots. I'd like to learn English very well for read books and watching movies in original language. Sometime I want to learn German (difficult to pronounce but interesting), Italian (fast but close to latin, or maybe I'm wrong), French (so much letters in writing, but they disappearing in speaking, I guess).

I am hand-maker, in particular I practice sewing and crochet (it calms for me).

I work in aroundbotanical sphere and like trees and plants. I'd like to learn about plant structure, that's why I like botanical illustration and close-up picture of plants. it's so wonderful to see that details of plants and understand for what they had been created by evolution.

I like vintage (old): clothes (I'd like to sew vintage dress someday), interiors and buildings. People made their interior with more respect for house, traditions and time which they lived (everything was for century, IKEA - no offense), vintage work tables and cabinet rooms. it's look like artwork with especially details and location on the table, with pens for writing, paperweight, inkwells and work papers and calligraphic handwriting. Do you agree, they used to write by hand so beautifully and so much: letters, diaries, documents?

Any postcard you send to me will be great gift to me, because it will be from different place, different culture, different people, not the same like mine. If you will had want to write something on back side of your card (anything - about your life, a line from a your favorite song, verse, quote or anything else), I will be so happy. Because it will be for me a practise english or another language.
