Correspondent

Hello dear friends of postcrossing,

Since I have been a member of postcrossing I have made many friends all over the world. I can say: I love postcrossing and I thank all the people who created postcrossing for all of us loving to write and especially to receive postcards.

I am Gesine, 72 and married to Juergen. Both of us are retired and love to have time for all the beautiful things in live. When I have free time - as every one knows, retired persons never do have any free time - I love to go for walks with my husband.

Ole - our best friend and personal trainer - is completing our life since 5 years. We love him very much. We had a beautiful summer together and he is learning lots of new things. Just like a dog has to learn.

Swimming, reading, travelling and playing the piano are favorite hobbies of mine. And I love very, very much to write and to receive postcards. I have three children and 3 grandchildren, 2 boys and 1 girl.

I am a great fan of any kind of music (boogie, blues, Music of the twentys and also some metal music and of course today's music). But I also love to go to the opera and to listen to concerts with classical music. I am not very keen of doing some handycraft.

I like to receive any kind of postcards, however, favourites are:
- churches, cathedrales
- forrests, trees,
- flowers and flowering trees (especially apple blossoms)
- animals (wolves, baers, elefants, horses, whales, owls,
turtles, Spiders, birds, butterflies)
- dogs (puppies and adult Dogs - especially Airedale Terriers))
- no cats please !!!!
- rivers, lakes, sea, any maritime motive
- sunrises, sunsets, moonlit nights,

!!! Special wish: I should like very much to exchange recipes of
typical meals of the region you live. Each recipe I get from
you will be answered with one by me. Just leave me a message
and your address, if you want.

I plan to make a Postcrossing Cooking Book, so please help
me with your typical recipe!

I have got many, many nice and interesting and typical recipes in the
passed 7 years and i certainly still would like to get more. In the
meantime I will work on the first edition of a "Cross-Cooking" cook
book. As it will be some work to finish a cook book I hope to be finished
at the end of this year. Please cross your fingers! I will let you know in
time here in my profile.

I hope to get many, many postcards from all over the world and would like to be in contact with Y O U very soon. I promise to register any received postcard by return.
