About Chrysantha...
Dear Reader,
I am a Montessori preschool teacher; I teach children from 2.5-6 years old.
I love reading and writing and I collect so many things that are made of paper--beautifully-made notebooks (from Starbucks planners to vintage leather bound journals), picturesque notecards (from artistic paintings to illustrations from children's storybooks), and of course; interesting postcards (from ones I chance upon in old books shops to ones I get from all over the world).
I would love to receive postcards of any of the breathtaking sites included in the UNESCO World Heritage List (you can view the list at http://whc.unesco.org/en/list) or of anything culturally unique to your country.
I would also appreciate postcards of contemporary art paintings or illustrations from classic children's storybooks. If you are from FINLAND, I am collecting postcards by the artist, Reetta Isotupa-Siltanen (I love elephants and she has a postcard with elephants--if you can send that one or any Reetta postcard, I will be eternally grateful and will send you a postcard from my country in appreciation).
If you are sending in one with animals or flowers, please do write some interesting facts about them.
NO free/ad postcards please.
Write and sign on the postcards. Tell me folktales or myths from your country; write FAMOUS SAYINGS or QUOTABLE QUOTES in your own language (and just translate them to English, please).
Then send the postcards; leave the envelopes.
Thank you and you can bet that I am checking my mailbox each and everyday. The next postcard to make me smile might just be yours.
Love,
Chrysantha
