My name is Christian. I live in Leipzig, a city located in central Germany, together with my wife and our daughter (9 years) and 2 sons (6 and 3 years). Leipzig has 600,000 inhabitants and is mainly known for books, for its trade fair and for music, as lots of famous composers lived here, such as Bach, Mendelssohn, Schumann... It's a very green city with lots of parks and lakes around, and I enjoy living here very much.
My interests are (classical) music, I am an active singer in a choir. I play the organ and the piano and also like to compose music, but usually I don't have enough time for this, as my main "hobby" is my children :-). I love to travel, though we focus on central Europe while our children are still small, but we were lucky to see already different places in the world. And I like baking and cooking and good food (there are more things than sausages and beer and kraut in German cuisine ;-)), and being outside in the nature.
In my profession I am a teacher for music and Russian language.

I enjoy postcards with images of the country where You live with nice stamps, though I appreciate every postcard I receive from You, I know it's sometimes difficult to have a fitting one at hand! If you like, you can add a coin or some item of your country. Otherwise I would appreciate cards without envelope. Please tell me about your everyday life, your work, the place where you live, about what's important in your life, your culture...
I highly appreciate if you take the time to write something personal and not only "Happy postcrossing" or send empty cards. It is sad to receive a postcard that travelled around the world without anything personal on it. Tell me, whatever You feel free to tell.
