Cheshire-in-Minsk

Hello, I am Anna, now I live in Minsk, Belarus (have moved here from Novosibirsk, that's in Siberian part of Russia).

For a long time I couldn't make myself start postcrossing... Knowing me, now it will be a problem to stop :-)
Why did I choose this hobby? Well, I like philately as well :) And hand-written postcards mean for me material signs of the real, warm attention of other people, something more than e-mails etc.
So, I will appreciate, if you send me any interesting postcard you like yourself and drop me a line on it. It would be also very pleasant to get some words about you, your hobbies, or local news, curious facts, or maybe weather conditions in your place:-) Or you can always just congratulate me for some holiday ;)

But to tell ALL the truth, I still have some "wishlist", the themes I especially like are:

- natural sciences, universities, research institutes etc.
- space
- ships, trains, planes
- steampunk
- plants, mushrooms, botanical illustrations
- birds
- Catholic shrines
- funny drawn pictures (eg. Krtek)
- impressionism (e.g. Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Alfred Sisley, Camille Pissarro), Vincent van Gogh
- The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings
- all concerning Sherlock Holmes
- Alice in Wonderland
- St. Patrick's Day (throughout the year ;) )
- "Greetings from..." series :-)
- beautiful views of your place (e.g. landscapes, historic landmarks, castles, city views, famous buildings)
- national culture (cuisine, costume etc.)
- MAXICARDS!!! (blank in envelope, if it's convenient, please; swap is possible) "In philately a maximum card is a postcard with a postage stamp placed on the picture side of the card where the stamp and card match or are in concordance. However, any other decent card will be also OK, please don't worry about that.
But please... please only real cards! I've made already a storage of cards to send, real cards, not AD or self-made (-printed), so I hope for a reciprocity.

I like when my address is handwritten but if you prefer to print it PLEASE DON'T USE ADHESIVE TAPE! glue stick is better :))
