About CaptainMata...

Hi there!

I'm a French graphist in visual communication and a 2D graphist in video games. I moved in Belgium (in september 2014) to continue my studies. I'm now in 2nd year of computer graphics for video games.

I'm fond of science-fiction, heroic-fantasy, steampunk, fantastic... Actually, of all kinds of universes.
I like cooking and I really love History.
I also love to know how people live and think in other countries, and what language they speak.

I'd like to receive a picture of your country, if possible in one of these themes:
- old promotional postcards (some examples with old Finnish cards: http://pin.it/MdksW9T , http://pin.it/HGCnWrJ)
- historical architectures (castles, churches, temples, lighthouses, mansions, old houses, ...),
- paintings by artists from where you live (random examples: Füssli, Leighton, anyone who's not from our century)
- typical houses,
- typical recipes,
- typical wild animals (illustrations or photos),
- old ships,
- ruins,
- antiques things,
- old photographs,
- cats or big cats (illustrations or on pictures related with something special from where you live),
- forests,
- lakes,
- domestic plants,
- foggy, snowy or mountainous landscapes.

Of course, any picture you think will best represent your region will make me very happy, especially if you write something about it! I really want to know what your home looks like. :)

Have a look on my favourite postcards wall if you need some inspiration.

I like languages too. I already speak three languages and I am learning a fourth!
So don't hesitate in writing something in your own language - with a translation please - and to share a word about your country, its History or its recent events, it'll be really awesome! :D

Thanks and maybe see you again!
Good postcrossing to all!

PS for Finnish people:

I'm still looking for contacts in Finland. I finally went there during summer 2015 to work in a farm near Savonlinna. It was even more awesome than I thought! I'm really in love with your culture, people and landscapes.
So if you're Finnish, I have some more needs to ask you if you don't mind. :)

- Could you tell me all that you think is interesting to know about your living way, your traditions and your politics?

- If you feel inspired, can you write some sentences about yourself in Finnish?

If you would like to swap with me, it would be a pleasure! :)

Kiitos paljon! ~**
