Blithe

Hello everyone.

My name is Jennifer and I live in beautiful North Vancouver in British Columbia Canada.

The City is right by the sea and sometimes I take the ferry to work instead of driving. We are a very young City only about 125 years old but the City is growing very quickly because it is so pretty here with the mountains and the sea. They say that you can ski in the morning and then golf in the afternoon and I am sure you can but I've never had enough energy to do both in one day. Its a great place for doing things outdoors, like cycling and rollerblading and hiking.

There is a lot of wildlife close to my house because I live high up on the mountain and I have had a bear in my garden and a racoon came right into the living room once. It was a little too close for comfort! Racoons look pretty but they can be quite vicious so you don't want them to be too friendly.

One of the things that I love about Vancouver is that there are a lot of people here from lots of different places, with different backgrounds and religions and yet everyone seems to get on well together. I would really like to know what you think is special about the place where you live.

I like yoga and gardening and playing golf and watching the hummingbirds outside my window. In the local First Nations legend, the hummingbird is the bringer of happiness and I hope that my postcards will bring happiness to some of YOU.
