About Betty...

Hi, I'm Betty.
I live with my boyfriend and crazy calico-cat in Amsterdam, the capital of The Netherlands.
I love cross stitching, quilting, reading, cycling, go for a walk in the woods or at the beach, internetting, rock music.
I'd love to receive postcards from all over the world. What a great way to learn something about other people.

It would be very nice to receive a card with:
* (old) people, indigenous people, traditional costumes, people in their daily live
* your favourite children's book, or something from a famous one from your country. I really love Janosch, Krtek the little Mole, Pippi Longstocking, Reich Károly, the Trolls from Rolf Lidberg, The Old Ladies from Inge Look, Arthur Rackham, Tom Schamp, Ivan Bilibin for example.
* rough nature like rocks, mountains, lakes, thunder, northernlight, trees, forests, mushrooms (No, NOT the magic ones...) ice, autumnleaves, spring blossem, poppies, peonies, earth, moon, sea, shells, etc.
* folk art paintings from, or in the style from, for example Grandma Moses, Török Janos, Jane Wooster Scott, Jos Lada. I don't know that much names, but maybe you have something I don't know about yet.
* books or reading people or a library
* (garden) gnomes / elves / fairies / trolls / witches
* father Christmas / Santa Claus all year
* Bagpiper of Beefeater
* colourful or wooden houses, doors or windows
* Buddha
* animals like (calico)cat, sheep, owl, bird, cow, fox, pig, moose, hedgehog, squirrel, goat, elephant,
* pictures of old teddybears
* You can also check my favourites to find some inspiration. There are some (uhm, a lot...) cards from other members which I really liked.

I prefer single view cards.

Please NO adcards.

But who knows, there are so many great postcards around the world. I'll like anything you'll send.

Love to hear from all of you!
