Peace to all of you !

I am Betty, a longtime snailmail and writing-with-ink fan and -seen the e-age- nostalgic of stamps, post offices, international mailpaper and so on.

I studied languages and history in Ghent Belgium and in Paris France. I recommend studying in another country to anyone. So if you are living or studying outside your own country tell me about it. I'm interested in your experiences. Where do you dream of living, even if for a short while ?

I like traveling, a lot ! Both to enjoy food, culture, art, people, history and nature. I prefer roadtrips most of all. Recently I was roadtripping in Wyoming and Colorado. Next trips will be Dublin, the Netherlands, a cruise on the Mediterranean, Edinburgh and the US (state Washington, Montana, Wyoming). Given my health was better, I would travel to Bhutan, Tibet and Nepal.

Should you seek inspiration, I like postcards featuring botanical gardens/flowers, architecture, funny scenes, nice drawings or other art, anything odd or special, or 'out there', drawings. Sweet, cute or comical scenes are always welcome.
My interests include marine or maritime scenes, emigration history, northern American and European history, South Africa, Afrikaans, coffee especially latte. Koi fish and kittens. Astrology, geographical maps. National parks. Paintings by Gustave Moreau and William Bougereau. Medieval art featuring redhaired women (I have red hair myself ;o)

On the other hand, surprise me, I seek to broaden my horizon...

I would like to know what you thought was interesting about your day, the people that you were with or what you learnt, why this day was special or what you associate Belgium with in your own life. Or who inspires you : how and why. Or what do you like about your own country, or what should i really know about it ... Do you have a hero/heroine ?
Or any odd thoughts you're having, stuff you wonder about or who you secretly have a crush on...or what does your name mean ?
Or who are considered beautiful women in your country and why ?
Or what just makes you smile and be happy ?
Do you like any motto, and which is it ?
What value do you treasure ?

My wife wants me to add that any cards with Low Brow Art will be welcomed, by her, with a great smile and gratitude.
