About Bas...

Good afternoon Postcrosser!

My name is Bas, I´m 24 and living in the Netherlands.
One of my hobbies is to travel and I think that Postcrossing is a great way to interact with fun and interesting people with the same interest : to broaden our horizon.

I used to be a carpenter but now I study to become a flight attendant.

I have many interests such as football, swimming, running and music.
But also less common interests like collecting old school paper money of foreign countries. My dream is to design a table with a glass tabletop, to store all those bills under it so you can enjoy your dinner while watching a colorful money collection. I collected over 200 different bills so far from over 80 different countries.

Another hobby of mine is to draw cartoons about politics. I like to follow the politic situations in countries such as America, Russia, the middle east and Asia. The Netherlands is such a goody-goody country. I have great interest in bizarre/odd strories of residents of non-Europe countries because in my opinion life is a little bit too much structured overhere :p

Oohw, and we have a dog named Jeep. He is 47kg and snores and farts a lot. He likes to eat apples and mustard. He is the best.

I would love to receive postcards with :

Politic related subjects.
Local money related postcards
Local soccer/football teams.
Postcards with maps.
Postcards with something you are proud of or that you like to show me.
Postcards with typical subjects of your district.
Creative cards with your own inspiration!
Old or antique postcards.
Retro design / colorful / pop-art / strip figure, etc etc postcards
Or anythingthing else you are enthusiastic and passionated about <3

Can you please write the date of writing on the postcard? Don't hesitate to write a lot, to use drawings, a lot of colors and crazy facts. An empty postcard looks so sad, it travels a damn while to reach the mailbox. Hope to hear from you soon! :)

(( If you get my address during any holiday (Christmas, Easter, St. Patrick's Day, Hannukah, Halloween, Chinese New Year, your country's National Day, (or any celebration unique from your country) don't hesitate to send me a card of it, and I would like it if you tell me how you celebrate it. ))

Kind regards,
Bas
