Hi!

My name is Astrid, I'm a 27-year-old living in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. I love postcrossing because love receiving mail from across the world and learning little things about the everyday lives of random people, but I haven't always been to most active member. Working on it!

I’m a big fan of dogs but my favorite animal is the whale, because I love how it’s a massive animal but still able to swim and dive like a champ! It’s a big dream of mine to see whales in real life one day - unfortunately I’ve never seen them before.

I enjoy learning about other cultures and their habits, and therefore I like postcards that show something about your country, culture, geography etc and 'Greetings from...'-cards. I also love vintage cards and propaganda-related cards.

I would love to hear about who you are and what you believe in. What is your strongest conviction? What is your greatest dream? Maybe tell me something about yourself you don’t usually tell people but would love to talk about (brag about your talents!). You could also tell me what your favorite song is and I'll look it up. I love discovering new music :) Do you have any pets and if so, do they have any funny habits? Update me on your local news - what’s the top story today? If you speak a language other than Dutch or English, teach me your favorite word(s)!

Obviously it’s a bit much to write on one postcard, so consider it inspiration ;) Write whatever comes to mind and I will enjoy reading it!
