About Astrid...

Hi there!

My name is Astrid and I live in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Born and raised!

I'm married and we have two kids... a son (26), a daughter (23) and a grandson (1). I'm a very proud (grand)mom.

I like coffee, books, red wine, flowers, music, dancing, the beach and the smell of warm apple pie.
I dream about traveling to NYC and Paris (again). London and Madrid. See the world. Meet new people.
But I'm also happy at home. Sleeping in. Read. Listen to music. Make dinner for my friends and family. Long talks about life at the kitchen table. Just enjoying the little things in life.
I need to be creative on a daily base. There's always a new DIY project waiting to be finished.
I'm a real 'city girl'! I live @ an awesome apartment with a stunning view and a huge balcony, I'm totally into 'urban gardening'.
And after all the hard work, I enjoy my glass of red wine... while I watch the sun set over the skyline of Rotterdam.

Themes I like are:
*Nice scenes from your hometown, region or country. I think skylines are cool!
*Cards with the map of your city... or the highlights.
These are just suggestions, I will be happy with every card you send me! So please send me any card you like - or think I will like.

I'd rather not receive advertising cards or selfmade (picture) cards. I also prefer stamped cards with no envelope; I like to see the "journey" of the card.

If you are wondering what to write on the card, just tell me something about you, your family, your pet, your city or why you picked this card for me.
I also like a little sentence in your own language.
Tell me what you did last week, or send me your favorite recipe. Tell me what music you are listening to. I look forward to read about you and your life!

Happy Postcrossing!

PS. I'm on Facebook. Feel free to add me as your friend!
