About ArmsWideOpen...

Dear all,

My son Yannis and I are very much looking forward to receiving postcards from all over the world. <3

We will look up your countries and cities and I will try to teach him about the variety of people and cultures this world has to offer. Yannis is mixed (Sri Lankan & German) and it is not always easy for him in an all-white environment.

Before Yannis was born, my husband and I lived in the US (in CT, MN and TX), Maldives and Sri Lanka. We settled down now, but still love to travel.

I enjoy reading, photography, little art projects with Yannis, working in my garden and keeping in touch with friends and family around the world.

We would love to receive cards showing:

<3 Tractors & Farm Animals (Yannis' special request!)
<3 People in traditional dresses of your country
<3 Photos of your local food/ traditions/ holiday customs
<3 Adults/ Children/ Babies in general, old or young
<3 Every day life sceneries (e.g. people working, etc.)
<3 (Old) houses, cottages, tree houses, hotels, etc. (basically anything people can live in)
<3 Shopfronts/ doors/ stairways/ lanterns/ windows/ gates
<3 Anything "Shabby Chic"
<3 Anything related to gardening/ home decorating/ arts & crafts/ pottery/ cups & plates/ candles/ flowers/ bottles/ wild herbs/ (pink) roses
<3 Cupcakes
<3 Spa-themed cards
<3 Buddhist/ Hindu images (temples, etc.)
<3 Any image that you think a toddler would enjoy

However, ANYTHING (except for Advertisement cards maybe - unless they are really cool) is appreciated!

I would absolutely love it if you start your card with "The most important thing my parents taught me is..." or "An important lesson I learned recently is that...".

If you like, have a look at my favorite postcards list. Some of the cards in there were sent to other postcrossers but I liked them so much I put them in my list. So if you have one of the cards shown in my favorites, I would love to receive it from you!

Have a wonderful summer!

Claudia
