About Monique...

Hi!
My real name is Monique and I live in the south of The Netherlands. I'm married to the love of my life and we have 4 children. My biggest hobby's are reading and cooking.

Every new postcard in my PO Box makes me happy. A gift of smiles from around the world. I consider postcard swapping a small mission of peace: sending good wishes around the world one card at a time.

Images that I like very much:
* Reading or writing people
* Women in paintings
* Books, library's, bookstores
* Food (especially sushi!), recipes and kitchen
* Black & White
* Doors, windows, mailboxes
* Locks, keys, door handles
* Nouvelles Images
* Impressionist Art
* Vintage
* Ethnic
* Angels
* Sunsets, skys, clouds and rainbows
* Shells

What I like the most is to receive a postcard from your own country, your folklore. For example with people (especially children) wearing characteristic costumes. Or the typical nature of your country or special buildings. I prefer single views, not the multiview touristic cards. In my wall of favourites you can see what I mean.
Please send me normal sized postcards (10 x 15 cm) without envelope.

I'm curious to know your answer to this question: If you could be a time-traveler, to what time would you want to go, the future or the past? What year? And why?

I've noticed that many Postcrossers are passionate readers. These are my most favorite books:
‘Outlander' by Diana Gabaldon
‘Memoirs of a geisha’ by Arthur Golden
‘Gargoyle’ by Andrew Davidson
‘The Time Travelers Wife’ by Audrey Niffenegger
‘The Help’ by Kathryn Stockett
‘Water for Elephants’ by Sara Gruen
‘The Shadow of the Wind’ by Carlos Ruiz Zafón
‘The Journal of Dora Damage’ by Belinda Starling

Please tell me your favorite books and writers!

And could you write me a phrase in your own language! With translation please...Don't forget to write the date on the postcard.

Thanks for sending your postcard. Every postcard brightens my day!
