About Giedre...

Hello - Labas,

My name is Giedre, I am 33 and I have two adorable sons. I live in Vilnius, the capital city of Lithuania. I love this country as it is colourful, peaceful place with beautiful landscapes, changing and always different weather, honest and open people.

I have a number of hobbies. For me making handcraft projects is a good way to clear mind after stressful day at work. I love spending time outdoors photographing or practicing shooting at the firing ground. I also play piano, run my own website, love reading books and watching movies. Separate area of my leasure is devoted to travelling. My favorite places are: Nantucket island (Massachusetts, USA) and Provence (France) - I can keep going back there again and again (if you happen to have the card from these places, I would be extremelly happy to receive it). However I really love seeing different countries, unfortunatelly the life's too short to visit them all!..

I'd very much appreciate London Olympics, Sochi 2014 cards and stamps, if you happen to have these.

My other preferences:
- 50's, 60's, 70's
- lighthouses
- science, astronomy
- aircraft
- music
- handcraft
- houses, windows
- fashion and vintage fashion
- handbags, jewellery
- Provence, lavender
- cuisine
- important historical events
- your country landscapes that are somehow exceptional (please tell me, why)
- certain important events in your country / city (sports, public, etc.), traditional festivals or rituals
- unusual nature views (auroras, erupting volcanoes, etc.)
- unusual perspective cards, reflections, strange angle cards

I like very much colours and shapes - in every imaginable way (in nature, in cities, in food, in outfits, etc.).

I don't really like: flowers, animals, symbols, dark colours, cartoons, multiviews, ordinary touristic view cards, ad-cards.

Would be great if you dated the card and uploaded the image, if only possible - I'd really appreciate that! I always enjoy reading the back of the card - it's not less important than the picture. If you're not sure what to write, tell me the best book, you've ever read, or write a sentence in your own language (with a translation please). I always register the postcard the same day it arrives. If your card seems to travel too long, just send me an ID and I'll register it. Once I received a nice card with the message that it was so unpleasant to read my profile that the sender didn't want to send me a card, it was really an upseting experience that made me a bad day. I truly hope I will never experience this sort of disappointment ever again as to me the Postcrossing is about emotion first of all!

Happy Postcrossing and I'm looking forward to receiving your cards!

With best wishes,
Giedre
