Since I was small I loved letters and postcards. My parents wrote them from each holiday we made and I had plenty of little penfriends. This is why nowadays I can´t come back from vacation whithout having sent cards to my friends and family.

Usually I search for the last remaining old postcards in the back row of the souvenir shop. I enjoy the vintage sceneries with strange colours, maybe strange sceneries and nice old advertisement. Sometimes even redone vintage cards with sepia pictures of the place I travel. When I find them, next step is to visit the real post office, read why:

Additional to the postcard passion, I am a huge fan of nice postage stamps. I love the oldfashioned ones to wet, not the new sticker, my favourite ones are with colourful illustrations, plants, fruits, animals or portraits of popular personalities. Sometimes there are even postage stamps with other shapes than the square shape, this is great! In my holidays I turn the post office members of any country mad, when I enter the scenery and they have to show all the stamps they offer, mostly without speaking english themselves.

As a freelancing illustrator and Graphic Designer I do design -surprise- postcards! Stationeries, stamps, wrapping paper and other paper stuff is my beloved work too. Maybe sometimes I will send you one of my own cards, lets see. You can find me and my work on Instagram: #alinealeipzig

I am excited to receive your cards, anyhow I would be pleased if you also can find an old one, maybe in the last row of your kiosk? Animals, plants and Alphabets or typography make me happy too!

Please, be so kind and write something on the card. When I received my first card with not a single personal word on it, I was kind of upset. If you don´t know what to write, send me a good cake or cookie receipe. Besides: I don´t like cats at all. And multiview cards aren´t my thing as well.
