Museum "The Church of the Decembrists", the most ancient building of Chita and one of the main attractions of Transbaikalia, is located in the wooden building of the former St. Michael the Archangel Church built in 1776. Opened in 1985 to the 160th anniversary of the Decembrist uprising (1825). In this church, while in exile, was crowning (venchalis') the decembrists - I. A. Annenkov with P. Göbl and D. I. Zavalishin with A. S. Smolyaninova. Near the church is buried Volkonsky's daughter - Sophia.

Музей «Церковь декабристов» - самое древнее строение Читы и одна из главных достопримечательностей Забайкалья - располагается в деревянном здании бывшей Михайло-Архангельской церкви возведенной в 1776 году. Открыт в 1985 году к 160-летнему юбилею восстания декабристов (1825 год). В этой церкви, находясь в ссылке, венчались декабристы И. А. Анненков с П. Гёбль и Д. И. Завалишин с А. С. Смольяниновой. Рядом с церковью похоронена дочь Волконских — Софья.
