Portuguese Post Office Maxicard on the "Cavalo Lusitano" (Lusitanian Horse).
The Lusitano is a Portuguese horse breed, the most ancient riding horse in the world, endowed with all the qualities required for Equestrian Art and Dressage.
Its lofty posture and elegance make it an ideal breed  for classic taming, high dressage school, light hitching and bullfighting (in Portuguese bloodless bullfighting today it is expected that neither horse or bull will be injured).
The Portuguese Schoolof Equestrian Art is one of the main ambassadors of the Lusitano Horse and has been present  in the biggest world equestrian events.
