Thank you. Yes, it is hand-painted. It's called Etegami, a traditional Japanese postcard art done on soft washi cards. We usually draw subjects from every-day life, especially things that reflect the changing seasons. It is now Potato harvest season where I live. The accompanying words are from the Potato Song and it says: "They may be covered in mud, but Potatoes are Beautiful!" |
