What a wonderful picture--a seemingly endless highway, forever beckoning. And it was taken in autumn, a wonderful time of both warm sunshine and shadows.

Have also thought of a metaphorical interpretation for this photo. For someone in her early 70's, like me, it seems to suggest the autumn of one's life, with a path that leads forward over decreasingly high hills, yet vanishes around a corner in the distance without much suggestion of what lies beyond.
