This must be a very lucky photograph; I actually counted seven four-leafed clovers within the frame! I wonder where thiat fortunate bed of clovers was located? Traditionally, here in Japan four was a very unlucky number, since one of the words for four ("shi") also means "death". However, nowadays many Japanese also think of four-leafed clovers as a symbol of good luck. You even see people looking for them when they are out for a walk in the country. |
