A Red Rose at Saturn’ North Pole.
In 2012, “Cassini” captured a stunning series of false-color images of Saturn’s north pole, using spectral filters sensitive to near-infrared light. The red areas show low-altitude clouds, while the green areas show clouds higher in the atmosphere.
